About the Role :

As an Associate Sales Representative at Thoracent, you will be at the forefront of advancing care in interventional pulmonology and thoracic surgery. This role is a launchpad into medical device sales, offering hands-on experience in the operating room, exposure to innovative procedures, and direct collaboration with physicians. You’ll support interventional pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons across hospitals and surgical centers, adapting with confidence and driving impact. Designed for motivated, early-career professionals, this field-based position combines clinical impact with commercial growth, providing mentorship from senior sales leaders and the opportunity to make a real difference in patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do :

  • Build and grow relationships with Interventional Pulmonologists, Thoracic Surgeons, and healthcare teams across your territory.
  • Support physicians in the operating room and procedural suites, providing technical guidance and ensuring successful product use during live cases.
  • Deliver product education and training to clinicians, nurses, and staff to build confidence and drive adoption of our technologies.
  • Launch life-saving new products to support Interventional Pulmonologists
  • Ensure customer success by responding quickly to needs, maintaining ongoing communication, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, launch new products, and execute growth initiatives.
  • Develop deep expertise through continuous training, gaining in-depth knowledge of Thoracent’s portfolio, the competitive landscape, and evolving clinical practices.

  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include business, life sciences, healthcare, or related disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or clinical support; prior healthcare or medical device exposure (including internships) is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence clinical stakeholders.
  • High energy, initiative, and coachability; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a strong sense of accountability and grit.
  • Comfortable working in surgical or procedural settings, with the professionalism and adaptability needed to support physicians and staff in real time.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory (up to 75%), with occasional regional travel as needed.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including during surgical and procedural support.
  • Ability to lift and transport product demonstration kits and materials (up to 25 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity is sufficient to handle devices and equipment as needed.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
