This position is in collaboration with UnitedHealth Group / Optum and involves designing and supporting information systems that manage all aspects of claims adjudication within a multi-payer healthcare administration platform. The role follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.

Base pay range

$110,200.00 / yr - $188,800.00 / yr

Note : Pay is based on several factors including location, education, experience, and certifications.

Primary responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business teams, Product Owners, and Solution Architects to understand requirements and produce domain-specific artifacts (high-level designs, technical design notes, etc.).
  • Perform data structure changes within the domain and manage communications with impacted domains / applications in partnership with the assigned Solution Architect and Product Owner.
  • Review solutions with delivery teams and business stakeholders; participate in discussions to identify solution options for feature requirements.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and / or design architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more architecture disciplines : business architecture, solution architecture, enterprise architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing and integrating technology solutions.
  • Experience spanning data engineering, cloud solutions, system integration, solution design, development / configuration, and deployment.
  • Experience developing / architecting within cloud-based applications.

    • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in claims.
  • Experience in REST API development.
  • Experience modeling relational and object-based data structures.
  • Advanced understanding of systems analysis techniques and processes.
