Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant is responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and updating basic health information in the electronic health record (EHR). This role involves preparing exam rooms, managing daily tasks, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities :
- Room patients and obtain vitals.
- Update basic health information in the EHR.
- Answer phones and handle prior authorizations.
- Manage medical records requests.
- Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing and restocking supplies.
- Document care provided and patient interactions in the EHR.
- Process patient referrals for specialty care and follow up as needed.
- Provide follow-up phone calls to clients or other professionals.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and functional work environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
- Work effectively as a flexible and cooperative team member.
- Manage difficult or conflict situations constructively and seek assistance when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The position is part of a regional not-for-profit community-based healthcare system and federally qualified community health center look-alike, supporting the community. Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $17.79 - $21.50 / hr.
