Loan Production Specialist

JOB SUMMARY :

The Loan Production Specialist (LPS) works closely with and supports all five work centers / functions (Reception, Docs & Funding, Titles & UCC, GPS, and Insurance). The primary duty is to perform new loan and paid-off processing functions as needed and determined by workload. The LPS's secondary task is to provide support and back-up in administrative and customer service tasks. Deliver excellent customer service to brokers and borrowers. Other tasks include prepare / send communications (verbal / written). Provide input to create / improve internal processes among the seven 'Production' functions. Initiative, attention-to-detail, flexibility, and a productive mindset are essential, complementary attributes to the skill and ability to work independently and as part of a team. C.H. Brown is a quick-paced environment. Daily work crosses multiple time zones.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Perform the initial review and processing of new credit requests to ensure they meet CHB's minimum, basic lending requirements; enter these requests into the processing / tracking system.
  • Process and submit / mail requests for solar and electrical system powered GPS tracking units.
  • Create and transmit via an online, e-signature process the necessary documents for a new loan.
  • Prepare the needed paperwork to finalize and send a Title Packet for a VIN-equipped new loan.
  • Be ready / knowledgeable to fund new loans via wire and cashier's check and ensure they're entered into the 'SilverLake' processing system.
  • Process / record issued and expired Certificates of Insurance for new applicants and existing borrowers.
  • Issue lien releases and process, record, and send-out titles for paid-off loan accounts.
  • Investigate / research the situation of loan accounts with incomplete, no lien titles; implement solutions.
  • Create, file and record Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) 'liens' on loan collateral via the online tool.
  • Troubleshoot / fix difficult new loan processing situations and borrower problems / complaints via email / phone.
  • Learn and interact with daily / routinely CHB's loan processing / tracking system for new credit requests.
  • Comply with customer service, experience standards in dealing with clients and co-workers.
  • Perform all other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
  • COMPLIANCE :
  • Maintain audit, security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep informed of internal process / procedure changes, CHB commercial lending practices, banking services, and the general economy.
  • MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES :
  • Assist with PVC, PVB-Wyoming, and / or CHB Company functions when possible.
  • Fill-in for other departments when high demand creates a need and such assistance contributes to the work center's success.

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of full-time work experience in an administrative or clerical support position.
  • One year of telephonic Customer Service work experience desired, preferably in a loan area.
  • Educational background in accounting, or equivalent obtained through practical experience.
  • Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work successfully in a high-demand, fast-moving environment.
  • Must be assertive and possess sound decision-making ability.
  • Competent keyboarding and computer use skills.
  • Previous software experience / skills in Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
  • Self-sufficient / self-starting.
  • General areas of competency : dependability, personal development, workplace safety, evaluation and interpersonal skills, prioritization, problem solving, teamwork, and time management.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive financial transactions and customer relationships.
  • Professional dress and appearance.
  • Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Physical Requirements :

    Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
