Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager :

Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

Manage the month-end close process and prepare financial statements

Handle job costing, budgeting, and forecasting

Supervise payroll and coordinate audits

Lead and mentor 2-3 direct reports (Accounting Clerk / Staff Accountant)

Report directly to the Controller

Requirements of the Accounting Manager :

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

3+ years of experience in the construction industry

Must be willing to "roll up sleeves" and handle transactional accounting tasks

Prior managerial or supervisory experience

Solid knowledge of GAAP principles
