Library Clerk II

The Library Clerk II assists students, faculty and other patrons in utilizing library services, locating and circulating library materials. The working hours are as follows : Wednesday, 3pm-11pm; Friday, 12pm-8pm, and Sunday, 2pm-10pm.

You Will :
Charge and discharge library materials, including books, laptops, course reserves, etc.Place items on hold for patrons and process Course ReservesUpdate library databases as instructed, record and collect fines and other paid feesProvide assistance in setting up audio-visual equipment, including Microfilm and Microfiche machinesAssign and track usage of study rooms and library facility and monitor library equipment including computers, printers, scanners, etc, and perform basic troubleshooting tasksPerform administrative duties associated with the opening and closing of the libraryExplain and enforce library policies and procedures to all patrons; monitor the library on a regular basis and report any problemsShelving materials, shelf reading the various collections, shifting of collections.Basic Voyager functions, such as adding patrons, collecting fines, checking in newspapers, etc.Basic book mendingYou Need :
A High School DiplomaA minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a public library or a library in an institution of higher learningGeneral computer skillsAbility to type with speed and accuracy and maintain and organize filesBasic math and book keeping skillsAbility to perform light lifting, bending and reaching; ability to push a full book truckWhat's In It For You :
