Our client is an excellent heavy civil construction, excavation, sitework, utility, heavy highway & bridge construction contractor with an excellent reputation for diverse project work (commercial, industrial, municipal projects) and is actively seeking to add an experienced estimator to the team.

Position Description

• Experience to bid & effectively estimate heavy civil-sitework construction focused projects; (Piping, Utilities, Storm & Sewer Lines, Excavation, Site preparation, Bridge, Roadways, Civil Construction Projects).
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements.
• Utilize related construction software to create estimates.
• Review and interpret contract documents to identify scope of work, materials, and labor requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant information.
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.
• This role includes an understanding of heavy civil site work construction, along with the ability to interact & effectively communicate with clients, county & township personnel, and team members in a professional timely and efficient manner.
• Work with project team to develop and implement strategies to achieve project pricing & cost objectives according to the estimate.
• Address and manage necessary change orders with the project team.
• Communicate with the project team to understand project scheduling and conflicts.
• Utilize leads to help identify upcoming project opportunities.
