The Content Producer is to bring iwi stories to life through Tainui Live, the official radio station of Waikato-Tainui. This is a unique opportunity to use your creative skills to support the growth and success of our iwi while producing content that reflects our values, language, and identity.

Waikato-Tainui is a tribal organisation responsible for developing and implementing initiatives which improve iwi outcomes in the areas of education and training, employment, tribal preservation, marae development, health and wellbeing, environmental and resource management. Moo te tuunga | About the role

We are looking for a proactive, technically skilled and creative Content Producer to lead multimedia content creation through Tainui Live, the official iwi radio station of Waikato-Tainui.

This role is ideal for a content creator who knows how to plan, shoot, edit and publish high-quality content across multiple platforms including social media, radio, podcasts and web. You will be confident repurposing livestreams into reels or short-form content, creating digital campaigns that reflect our values, and embedding Te Reo Maaori meaningfully into your work.

You will work closely with the Radio Manager and wider Engagement and Communications team to support iwi-wide storytelling and uplift tribal initiatives through engaging content.

Key responsibilities include :

• Produce, shoot and edit multimedia content for social media, radio, podcasts and web that reflects Waikato-Tainui values and kaupapa
• Repurpose livestreamed content into short-form reels, highlights and campaign-ready content
• Manage and grow engagement across digital platforms using insights, analytics and performance data
• Support and contribute to iwi-wide communications by promoting initiatives and events through compelling storytelling
• Maintain strong cultural and creative integrity in all content, incorporating Te Reo Maaori and tikanga where appropriate
• Proven experience in video and audio production, including filming, editing and post-production using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition, or their equivalents
• Confident in using livestream and production tools such as VMix, Blackmagic, ATEM or similar Switching systems
• Skilled in managing digital platforms and using analytics to drive strategic content decisions
• A deep understanding of Te Ao Maaori and Waikato-Tainui values, with proficiency or developing proficiency in Te Reo Maaori
• A self-starter who can work independently, lead multimedia content initiatives and consistently meet deadlines
