This position is a member of the Corporate Accounting team and will assist in financial reporting activities including the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packages, coordination of external audits and tax-related engagements, accounting for employee benefits plans, and technical accounting research. This role will report directly to the Manager - Financial Reporting.

Job Functions :

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements including footnote disclosures, supporting schedules, roll-forwards, and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analyses and prepare comprehensive review packages for management.
• Assist in research and analysis of new and existing Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidance. Perform qualitative and quantitative evaluations and prepare written documentation, such as policy or guidance memos, to interpret and communicate accounting positions.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation and review of deliverables for external audits of annual financial statements, employee benefit plans, and external entities for which the Company serves as operator.
• Assist in coordination of engagements related to corporate income tax matters.
• Perform accounting functions for employee benefits plans.
• Collaborate and provide general support across departments on financial reporting and accounting matters.
• Examine selected monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper classification, and adequate review. Prepare a summary of findings on a monthly basis.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of government census reports.
• Complete special projects and prepare ad-hoc analyses as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned
