A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist responsible for authorizing appointments and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Identify patients requiring pre-certification or pre-authorization for services
Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits for requested services
Document referrals and authorization numbers in the EPIC system and assist with denial management issues
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
State criminal background check and Federal background check as required
Previous insurance authorization experience preferred
