NAADAM Store Manager
We're NAADAM. We make heirloom-worthy styles that are soft AF and made to love season after season. Plus, we cut out the middlemen so Mongolian herders are paid more and our quality knitwear costs you less. It all started in the middle of nowhere. The Gobi Desert, to be exact. When college friends Matthew Scanlan and Diederik Rijsemus accidentally found themselves living on a remote nomadic herding farm in the middle of Mongolia. While there, they became friends with the local herders. And witnessed firsthand how traditional cashmere traders fixed prices and kept the profits. The duo realized that they could cut out the middlemen, pay their herder friends more, and sell luxury knitwear for less.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Store Manager to lead our NAADAM boutique, powered by the Leap Platform, in Chicago. This pivotal role is designed for an experienced, results-driven leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, driving business growth, and delivering an elevated client experience.
As Store Manager, you will own the full scope of store leadershipfrom strategic planning to executionensuring excellence in operations, people management, and customer engagement. You will lead by example on the sales floor, set clear goals, and foster a culture rooted in collaboration, performance, and continuous development. Your ability to coach and inspire will be key in cultivating a high-impact team and building a pipeline of future leaders.
In addition to overseeing day-to-day store operationsincluding sales, staffing, scheduling, visual merchandising, and inventory managementyou'll act as a local market expert. By understanding consumer behavior, regional trends, and community events, you'll activate the store through localized outreach and events that deepen client relationships and drive traffic.
Beyond your home location, you may support other Leap-powered stores in the area through cross-store initiatives, new store openings, and onboarding support. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong operational foundation, and comfort navigating modern retail tools and platforms such as Shopify, Endear, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Position Requirements
Annual Pay Range : $60,000 - $70,000. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
