The Speech & Hearing Center is looking for an audiologist who will be responsible for diagnostic hearing evaluations, as well as hearing aid dispensing and follow-up care. The Center's newborn hearing screening and OSHA hearing conservation programs are also the responsibility of this position.
Qualifications :
- Au.D. or Master's degree in audiology
- ASHA certificate of clinical competence
- Current hearing aid dispensing and audiology licensure
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service mindset
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office business suite and TIMS practice management software or similar
- Proficiency with variety of hearing aid manufacturer software and hardware
- Proven track record in hearing aid sales
- Connection to the mission of serving those with hearing and / or communication disorders
Job Responsibilities Include :
Administration
Responsible for management and scheduling of departmentAccountable for hearing aid sales and profitability of departmentManage direct reports, as well as workflow of hearing health representativeSet department pricing and negotiate device rates with manufacturers / purchasing groupOversee and maintain current departmental records and policies / proceduresManage contracts to ensure complianceStay current on industry trends, best practices and market competitionPerform community outreach to propel mission, as neededPatient Care
Evaluate, treat and counsel patients with hearing disorders to improve communication functionWork well with patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatricsProvide hearing aid dispensing, including education, selection, fitting and ongoing managementComplete veteran C&P exams through VES contractOSHA Hearing Conservation Program
Supervise industrial services technician and industrial coordinatorMeet OSHA-mandated hearing conservation guidelines for clientsReview and / or advise on all industrial audiogramsComplete work relatedness evaluations for industry clientsNewborn Hearing Screening Program
