Step into a shift where your hands keep an entire operation moving. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at NPAA, you’ll start your 2nd or 3rd shift by reviewing work orders, walking the floor, and prioritizing what keeps production safe and reliable. One hour you’re inspecting a mag-drive pump on a grinding mill; the next, you’re troubleshooting a motor control circuit or verifying a chiller loop that supports a critical process line. Training is provided during off-shift hours to set you up for success.
What your shift looks like
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on facility and process equipment : pumps (mag drive and mechanical seal), grinding mills, valves, compressors, and packaging systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in motor control systems and plant instrumentation to minimize downtime.
- Service mobile equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts, to keep material flow safe and steady.
- Care for infrastructure systems : steam generation and cooling / chilling equipment, while supporting mechanical compliance with state regulations for fire systems, boilers, and pollution control.
- Apply fabrication skills—welding and pipe assembly preferred—to improve reliability and support upgrades.
- Join safety and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and site standards.
What you bring
High School Diploma.Technical School Certification or 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent blend of both.Background in automation or fabrication (required).Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics.Welding and piping assembly experience (preferred).Valid driver’s license.Compensation
$25.10 to $38.23. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
