Art Teacher / Art Education Assistant Director - Full Time

What You'll Do
- Teach Art and / or Digital Design Classes : Teach weekly art and / or digital art classes and summer camps for a variety of ages and media
- Ensure Student Success : Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students and teachers to observe, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth
- Provide Hospitality Service & Communication : Conduct proactive check-ins with parents, students and families, support makeup scheduling, discuss student progress and opportunities for growth, upsells to additional classes / camps.
- Implement One River Methodology Curriculum : Ensure teachers have lesson plans / resources on time and implement the One River Method through each class effectively and contribute to lesson plan development regularly
- Run a best-in-class studio : Order and Re-stock art supplies, Clean and organize studio spaces and student artwork and oversee digital lab maintenance
- Student Exhibitions : Collect, Curate and Install school & community exhibitions; plan and prompt the opening receptions for Student Shows and support parties and special events.
Requirements
BA / BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master's a plus) or equivalent professional experience3+ years experience teaching visual arts for K-12 and / or adults. Digital art skills are a plus.Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environmentPassion for art history, contemporary art and a 'students-first' mindsetBenefits
