We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Substation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, planning, and executing various substation projects. This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation projects. Responsibilities :

As a Senior Substation Engineer, your responsibilities will include :

1. Developing design packages for medium to high voltage substation projects.

2. Conducting and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.

3. Performing substation design calculations and analysis; such as short circuit stand, ground grid analysis & design, lightning protection, voltage drop and flicker analysis.

4. Preparing engineering reports and technical studies, and presenting findings to clients and peers.

5. Reviewing and validating the detailed design for high voltage substation projects.

6. Coordinating with project teams including project managers, designers and field personnel.

7. Supporting project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects.

8. Mentoring and providing guidance to developing engineers within the department.

Qualifications :

To qualify for the role of Senior Substation Engineer, you must have :

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s Degree will be considered as a plus.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in substation design and project engineering.

3. A professional engineering license or the ability to obtain one within one year.

4. Experience with high voltage substation design (69kV through 500kV) including knowledge of substation components, principles of operation, and the inter-relation among systems.

5. Proficiency in using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other relevant software.

6. An understanding of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.

8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to think critically.

9. Experience in solar power generation would be considered as an advantage.
