• 12-hour shifts 7 : 30 to 7 : 30
• 65 patients per day average
• Hospital-based outpatient emergency department
• Procedural skills required including intubation and arterial lines
• Lumbar punctures, paracentesis, and thoracentesis required
• I&D, suturing, splinting, and foreign body removal required
• Annual volume of 22,500 patients
• Board certification required
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
