As a front desk security professional with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor access to the building, manage visitor check-ins, and assist with badge and access control procedures. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a welcoming presence and providing clear communication, all while delivering outstanding customer service. Position Type : Part-Time

Pay Rate : $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Fri 06 : 15 AM - 02 : 45 PM Sat 06 : 45 AM - 03 : 15 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to visitors, students, and staff at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and / or credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and / or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and / or disruptive behavior through attentive presence and adherence to protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
