Position : Hardware / Software Support Specialist Department : Information Technology Services
We are looking for a talented and motivated IT Specialist to join our team under the supervision of the Information Services Manager. This is your chance to be a part of a dedicated team that strives to maintain the City's technological infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities :
- Installation & Maintenance : Provide installation, maintenance, and support for the City's PC and local area network infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows, Office, and various security software.
- Device Support : Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Apple iPad, iPhone devices, and VOIP telephone handsets.
- Software Support : Assist with maintaining the City's email system, support third-party software applications, and review hardware / software purchase requests.
- Network Maintenance : Assist in maintaining Windows Active Directory infrastructure, local area network, and attached devices.
- User Assistance : Help users resolve technical issues and serve on various employee committees.
Requirements :
Education & Experience : Degree in information systems or a related field, with 2-4 years of PC / network experience in a business environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems.Abilities : Work independently and as a team member, communicate orally and in writing effectively, and maintain effective working relationships.Licensure and Certification : Valid State of Ohio driver's license with continuing eligibility.Special Requirements : Must be a non-smoker and non-tobacco / nicotine user for the duration of employment.Working Conditions :
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting / moving up to 35 pounds. Office setting with typically quiet noise levels.

After 5 successful years in the position, the annual salary is $85,649. The workweek is Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. This is a classified, exempt, non-bargaining position.
