A Typical Day :

At H&R Block, our Tax Advisors are trusted financial partners who guide clients through their tax journey with empathy, professionalism, and integrity. In this consultative role, you will work closely with a Client Care Specialist, who ensures clients are fully prepared for their appointments by gathering documents, explaining the process, and setting expectations. Together, you’ll create a seamless and reassuring experience that leaves clients feeling confident, informed, and cared for.

You’ll deliver accurate, personalized tax advice while building long-term relationships rooted in trust. Your ability to simplify complex tax topics, embrace technology, and adapt to each client’s unique needs will be key to your success. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a meaningful impact in people’s lives through expert guidance and compassionate service.

What you'll bring to the team... :

• Take a consultative approach by identifying potential tax savings, planning for the future, and informing clients about available H&R Block products and services that may assist with their financial objectives. Present complex tax concepts in clear and straightforward terms so that clients have the necessary information.
• Establish rapport and trust with clients by consistently exhibiting empathy, active listening, and a sincere commitment to their financial wellbeing. Demonstrate adaptability to diverse client personalities and financial circumstances while upholding high standards of professionalism.
• Review and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses in compliance with IRS regulations and H&R Block standards.
• Conduct thorough client interviews to understand their financial situation, life changes, and tax implications.
• Offer ethical, credible advice regardless of client suggestions, and always handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
• Keep up to date with tax laws, tools, and technology for accurate service. Pursue ongoing training to improve tax expertise, customer service, and tech skills.
• Use H&R Block’s digital tools and platforms confidently to streamline the tax preparation process and enhance client experience.
• Foster a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and collaborating with staff to continuously enhance client experience and achieve office goals

Pay Range Information : The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and / or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit. Pay Range : $11.00 - $80.00 / Hr.
