As a Security Guard - Retail Mall Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer in a retail environment, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere for customers and staff. You will remain visible throughout the location, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeFri12 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PMSat12 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behaviors or conditions to the appropriate personnel and / or authorities as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and managing visitor flow when required.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and communicating with store staff and management as necessary.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
