Controller

A client of ours is looking for a Controller o oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership ability, and experience managing audits. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a mix of onsite presence and flexibility.

Responsibilities of Controller

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Manage and oversee the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and other financial obligations
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management to drive business performance and growth.
  • Support operational and financial efficiency initiatives.

Skills / Qualifications of Controller

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of accounting / finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Audit management experience (required).
  • Hands-on experience leading the month-end close process.
  • Ability to go onsite as needed to support business and team requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • NetSuite ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
