The Role & Impact
As Laboratory Technician, you'll provide immediate hands-on support to alleviate urgent workload demands during a high-priority product development phase. You'll perform critical HPLC testing and extensive solution preparation, helping the R&D team troubleshoot product variability challenges and accelerate development timelines for next-generation breast reconstruction products. This contract-to-hire position offers strong potential for conversion for exceptional performers who demonstrate technical excellence and cultural fit.
What You'll Do Daily
- Perform HPLC analysis following established protocols to test antibiotic spray application variability on medical device products
- Prepare solutions, buffers, and reagents with precision - this hands-on component comprises significant daily work
- Support assay development activities and troubleshoot analytical challenges alongside senior chemists
- Conduct routine sample preparation, processing, and testing to maintain project momentum
- Document all testing activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices and FDA regulations
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including HPLC systems with proper calibration protocols
- Collaborate directly with the Senior Director of Product Development and analytical chemistry team
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that accelerate product development timelines
Required Qualifications
1-3 years hands-on HPLC experience (academic research laboratory or industry - both qualify!)Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific fieldDemonstrated wet lab experience with solution preparation and analytical testingStrong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy in laboratory workAuthorization to work in the US without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications
