Welder - 1st or 2nd Shift (Springfield, IL)
A well-established manufacturing company in Springfield, IL is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join its 1st or 2nd shift team. This role offers steady hours, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to earn production-based bonuses.
Schedule : 1st or 2nd Shift
Pay : $21 - $24 / hour + potential monthly production bonus
Responsibilities
- Use MIG welding to assemble fabricated metal products efficiently and accurately
- Produce strong, consistent welds that are smooth and non-porous
- Follow established procedures using jigs and fixtures to ensure quality fabrication
- Operate welding equipment safely and report any hazards to the Welding Supervisor
- Maintain production output to minimize delays and support workflow
- Clean and maintain a safe, orderly welding area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth product flow
- Assist others in the department as needed
