Description : GENERAL SUMMARY

The Marketing Director is responsible for achieving high occupancy via direct sales interaction with prospective residents, their families, and referral resources. The Marketing Director is also responsible for the development of community events that are innovative and engage the consumer in a relevant and purposeful manner creating organic exposure to our Retirement Community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, design, implement and promote the marketing vision and strategy.
  • Manage marketing professionals and provide ongoing leadership, coaching and development.
  • Establish and oversee digital and search strategy, and social media strategy.
  • Establish and oversee relationships with external digital and creative agency partners.
  • Track and assess metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
  • Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
  • Develop and manage overall marketing budget regarding overall spend and ROI for each strategy.
  • Develop and implement purposeful, relevant and innovative in-house events and functions that will generate new traffic to the community
  • Manages inventory and distribution of all collateral marketing materials including handouts, postcards, brochures, etc.
  • Develop and maintain programs for creation of marketing collaterals; training; market studies; competitive analysis and overall marketing support.
  • Play a key role in the development and execution of a fully integrated internal and external brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership to establish brand identity and messaging; actively promote a widespread and deep understanding of the mission, values, and strategy and execute on content strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key strategic partners.

COMPETENCIES

  • Extensive experience in creating and implementing social and digital strategies, and experience in developing integrated stakeholder engagement and brand reputation management strategies.
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
  • Solid business acumen, strategic planning, problem solving and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking skills, and good business judgment.
  • Effective public speaking and formal presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity for and interest in developing a deep understanding of consumer preferences within the older adult demographic and the markets in which it operates.
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills, and exceptionally strong writing and editing skills.
  • Collaborative : Ability to build and form strong cross-functional relationships, with a collaborative and inclusive style.
  • Execution excellence - demonstrated ability to set aggressive but realistic plans and expectations, manage and resolve challenges, and deliver consistently against planned-for dates, budgets, and business results.
  • Requirements :

    PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years corporate marketing experience, or experience in an advertising or public relations agency or consulting firm.
  • Background in senior living or hospitality industries a plus.
