As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout an educational location. Your visible presence and commitment to providing exceptional customer service will contribute to a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This armed position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. Position Type : Part Time Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule : DayTimeFri11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AMSat03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter potential threats and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas, remaining alert for suspicious activity and unauthorized individuals.
  • Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with school staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or emergencies.
  • Participate in training and drills to remain prepared for emergency situations relevant to an educational environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable law.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
