Director Of Operations
We're seeking a Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day manufacturing in a fast-paced textile environment. This position will manage approximately 40 employees across three shifts and will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and team development in a fast-paced textile environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and a servant-leadership mindset that aligns with the company's Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and scheduling.
- Lead and mentor a team of 40 employees across three shifts, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Oversee all financial aspects of operations, including budgeting, cost accounting, and performance analysis.
- Drive Lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Manage and enhance the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program; ensure reliability of all equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and executive leadership to develop operational strategies and execute key business objectives.
- Monitor production metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Support and uphold the organization's Christian values in all leadership and operational practices.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and quality-focused workplace environment.
Qualifications
1015 years of progressive leadership experience in textile manufacturing, preferably in woven product operations.Strong manufacturing background with proven success in leading plant operations and cross-functional teams.Hands-on, "lead by example" management style suited for a smaller operation (approx. 40 employees).Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement principles.Experience with financial statements, cost accounting, and operational budgeting.Proven maintenance acumen with experience managing TPM programs.Experience with Vanderwheel velvet looms or similar equipment is a strong plus.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong alignment with and commitment to Christian values and servant leadership principles.Schedule
