Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Manager of the Refreshment Center is to manage all operations for the assigned department and other duties as assigned. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned operational functions within the department, aligned with strategic plans and vision for the department, division, and Venetian / Palazzo.
- Oversee guest service delivery within the department, ensuring alignment with company standards and brand attributes.
- Assign daily workload to team members.
- Supervise daily operations, including running reports, delegating tasks, and station assignments, with managerial intervention during days off.
- Maintain minibars and inventory carts.
- Handle account disputes and inventory reports in coordination with accounting and front office teams.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Address guest challenges and feedback.Develop and update templates for system use.Test new products and report on their success.Manage department costs and labor.Maintain operational reports and manage departmental awards and scheduling.Coordinate HR activities, including hiring, evaluations, and employee relations.Ensure safety and attendance policies are adhered to.Participate in research and development of new services and products.Monitor financial performance and operational costs, utilizing software tools for analysis.Attend departmental meetings and delegate tasks accordingly.Manage staff, including training, performance, and development.Uphold company standards of conduct and appearance.Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age or older.Legal authorization to work in the U.S.High School Diploma or equivalent.Certifications including Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler's, as required.At least 3 years of relevant experience.Proficiency with relevant computer systems and software.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Professional appearance and adherence to standards.Availability for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical Requirements
Ability to access all areas of the property.Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines.Prolonged walking, standing, bending, and kneeling.Work in a fast-paced environment and exposed to environmental factors.Additional Information
