Manager of Track Maintenance

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of Track Maintenance to oversee construction projects and manage on-site operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years track experience, possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of track builds from new to used, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in daily operations with the Maintenance of Way department, ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate and manage the activities of laborers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate implementation of specifications.
• Keep fleet and equipment in working order.
• Manage third party customer relations, including track inspections, bidding on jobs, scheduling third party work, and responding to derailments as necessary.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with FRA regulations.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing input on labor costs, materials, and timelines.
• Train new employees on safety protocols and operational procedures.
