Job Opportunity :

Middle and Upper School Learning Resource Specialist, Part-time (24 hours, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Hilton Head Prep is a Pre-Primary to 12th-grade school, enrolling approximately 560 students. The Upper School has over 200 students, with the remaining students in the Middle and Lower Schools. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Hilton Head Prep offers students an idyllic environment that promotes both academic achievement and character development.

Position Overview :

We seek an individual who values academic excellence, integrity, and community and who will actively support our school's mission to foster a joyful, accepting, and ambitious environment where students can discover their strengths and impact the world. The Learning Resource Program at Hilton Head Preparatory School works with students in Montessori, Lower School,

Middle School, and Upper School to provide academic support with their classes. The Learning Specialist will work with students who have documented learning differences from psychoeducational testing by providing accommodations and modifications in a formal written plan to their teachers.

Key responsibilities

• ? Providing individualized or small group instruction to Middle School and Upper School students needing support.
• ? Identifying student strengths and weaknesses through assessments to create tailored intervention plans.
• ? Collaborating with teachers to implement differentiated instruction and accommodations based on a student's Learning Plan.
