DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this professional social service supervisory position, you will be responsible for the supervision of casework staff in Columbia County Children & Youth Services. Your responsibilities will involve supervising and reviewing the work of caseworkers to ensure compliance with policy and appropriateness of client needs and interpreting the program's goals and objectives to other human service agencies and the public. You will also provide casework support in difficult cases, intervene in crisis situations, and communicate with a variety of other professionals and community members to enhance coordination of service delivery. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures and supervised by the Casework Manager. Work Schedule and Additional Information :

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements :

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
