North Suffolk is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team! The Accounting Assistant is responsible for handling payroll and accounting transactions and must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of discretion while handling employee’s private information.
What You’ll Do :
- Perform bank reconciliation and journal entries to ensure accuracy of cash balances and appropriate cash flow requirements.
- Assist in the development of financial analysis that allows for more timely and informative data that points out problems so corrective measures can be taken.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and ensure the bank, on a daily basis, processes the deposits.
- Assist Payroll Manager in the bi-weekly process of payroll : timesheets sorting, batch inputting in Payroll computer system and handling queries from supervisor and employees.
- Assist with monthly closing, data entry, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What You’ll Need : - Education :
High School Diploma or GED
Experience :Three to five years’ related experience required
Skills :Must be proficient in (Windows) Excel and Word.
