This is an unpaid internship.

This internship position is designed to enrich the learning experience of students interested in public health and community health planning initiatives. The Healthy Cabarrus Intern will participate in the community health needs assessment (CHNA) process for Cabarrus County and related initiatives collaborating with CHA staff, governmental agencies, community stakeholders, elected officials, and community partners.

Illustrative Duties / Responsibilities :

• Support the coordination and facilitation of CHNA advisory board meetings
• Contribute for community health action planning by helping align identified priority needs with strategies and resources
• Collaborate with community partners on various community coalitions and task forces related to identified priority areas in the county
• Assist with finalizing the CHNA report, including organizing data, editing content, and preparing materials for publication
• Participate in CHNA Regional Collaborative meetings and related regional initiatives

Education / Experience : Enrolled in an educational program seeking a degree in public health or related field.
