Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automation Technician located in Troy, MI. The Automation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation equipment. Daily tasks will include setting up and calibrating equipment, integrating into industrial robots and PLCs, and ensuring smooth operation of automation systems. Additionally, the technician will provide technical support, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct safety inspections. Monthly travel to customer manufacturing sites, integrators, and supplier locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation equipment
  • Knowledge of programming PLCs and integrating industrial robots
  • Knowledge of setting up and calibrating sensors, as well as system integration
  • Technical support skills and the ability to perform preventive maintenance
  • Strong safety inspection skills and adherence to industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Relevant certifications or training in automation or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required
