Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Frazeysburg, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's values-agile, reliable, and innovative-by putting people first and working collaboratively with your team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and making a positive impact in a dynamic retail setting.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with retail staff and other Allied Universal personnel to support a secure environment for all patrons and employees.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the retail environment as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
