    • Job Summary

    The Yard Foreman is responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse and lumber yard while leading a team to ensure accurate inventory, efficient loading, and top-notch customer service. This role includes coordinating deliveries, operating forklifts, training team members , and maintaining safety standards throughout the yard.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to contractors and DIY customers
  • Supervise and train yard staff to ensure productivity and safety
  • Communicate with the buying team to maintain appropriate product levels
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Build loads for delivery and ensure accurate, damage-free shipments
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Deliver materials to job sites and offload using equipment when necessary
  • Keep the yard clean, safe, and well-organized
  • Photo document deliveries and report discrepancies
  • Maintain delivery vehicles and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Process and track damage claims and returns in a timely manner

    • Qualifications

  • Valid Class E drivers license and clean driving record required
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs. and use proper lifting techniques
  • Comfortable operating heavy machinery and power equipment
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Experience in warehouse or yard operations preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
