About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (8am – 6pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Experience : 2 years MRI experience required

License : ARRT (MR) required

Certifications : CPR Certification required

Must-Have : ARRT (MR), CPR Certification

Description :

Perform all required procedures through proper positioning and technique.

Consistently demonstrate good judgment in evaluating the resulting diagnostic studies.

Screen patients before exams for any contraindications or precautionary measures.

Obtain and review the requisition for examination to gather necessary information.

Thoroughly explain the procedure and answer any patient questions to alleviate anxiety.

Monitor the condition of any patient within the department.

Assist the radiologist in performing any needed medical attention.

Comply with company policies and procedures.

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and emergency plans.

Maintain the diagnostic equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, and handling with care.

Keep the work area in an orderly manner.

Check to ensure emergency equipment is in good working order.

Report any problems with equipment to the supervisor.

Prepare examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, including correct identification and processing of films.

Assist the radiologist during the administration of contrast media, practicing aseptic technique as required.

Recognize allergic reactions and respond according to procedures for emergent patient care.

Practice and maintain standard precautions and infection control policy standards.

Assist with patient scheduling and preparation prior to examination.

Ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of service possible.

Conduct examinations with consideration for the patient’s age, condition, or other special needs.

Comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Perform other projects as may be requested.
