Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Jobs - Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Opportunity in Sioux Falls, SD

This 13-week travel nursing assignment at a leading Level 1 Trauma Center features 35 operating rooms and exposure to diverse surgical specialties. Registered Nurse Job Details

  • Location : Sioux Falls, SD 57105 - South Dakota nursing jobs
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 - January 19, 2026)
  • Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Nursing Shift : 10-hour day shifts (830-1900 or 1030-2100), every 4th weekend, required call shifts (1-4 overnight calls / week, 3-4 late / flex shifts / 4 weeks)
  • Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $2380 - $2550
  • Dress Code : Ceil blue scrubs provided; must follow surgical dress code
  • Charting System : EPIC EMR

Operating Room RN Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to all surgical specialties
  • Flexible with scheduling, including late shifts and overnight call
  • Must not have worked for Sanford Health within the past 6 months

    • OR RN Responsibilities

  • Circulate for one operating room, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, acute care environment
  • Participate in required call shifts and work every 4th weekend
  • Adhere to hospital and surgical dress code policies
  • Complete orientation to the unit within one week, including EPIC charting and ESAR privileges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
