About The Position

Certifications : BLS, Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (certification preferred)

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 3 years of CST experience.
• General surgery and orthopedic experience, specifically total joints.
• Preferred experience in plastics.
• Experience in similar size facilities, Trauma Level 3 & 4, and / or Critically Access Hospitals.

Description :

Department operates 7 surgical suites.

Average number of cases per day is 5-25.

Common cases include general surgery, orthopedic / sports medicine, plastics and cosmetics, podiatry, cataracts / eye procedures, and OB / GYN / women's health (non-cancer related).

Travelers are expected to be flexible and assist in filling gaps in scheduling.

Shifts consist of 5 days, with hours from 06 : 45 to 15 : 15.

Late stay and on-call rotations required, typically 1-2 times per week during weekdays.

Weekend on-call requirements are 1-2 times per month, with 24-hour on-call shifts from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

Call response time is 30 minutes.

May be asked to float into other roles as needed.

Scrub color and dress code will be provided and should be adhered to within the facility.

Orientation will include 1-2 shifts with a preceptor, along with some call shifts.

The facility serves a rural community and handles a wide variety of cases.
