Financial Analyst - Expenses
The Financial Analyst - Expenses is an integral part of Latham's Financial Accounting team. This role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the firm by monitoring firm expenditures, ensuring that expenses are reasonable, appropriate, and in compliance with firm policies, while also developing reports and metrics for analyzing data. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include :
- Applying financial and analytical skills to create analyses and respond to various routine and ad hoc requests
- Reviewing and analyzing summary reports and source data to detect inconsistent or improper expense patterns, while fully investigating potentially inappropriate expenditures by applying professional skepticism and judgment
- Preparing and presenting information regarding findings, and following up with appropriate management to ensure proper resolution
- Creating detailed reports on findings based on investigation, validation, and documentation of work reviewed
- Processing and monitoring audit letter requests to ensure that deadlines are met and completed accurately and in line with expectations
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and / or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Pay Range : USD $80,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 / Yr.
