Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager passionate about manufacturing business and processes to provide leadership and technical expertise that support our strategic objectives, continued growth, and the people who make our business possible.
This is a full-time, in-office position located in Lynden, WA. At this time relocation support is not being considered and candidates currently living locally will be given preference in consideration.
Position Overview
The Engineering Manager will work closely with operational and sales teams to identify opportunities, define project scope, and guide the engineering group in executing solutions. The engineering team's responsibilities primarily include a blend of manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, and project management. This role requires a balance of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure projects are delivered effectively and align with LDI's values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring access to the tools, resources, and support necessary for success.
- Build and refine departmental workflows, implementing effective software and design processes.
- Prioritize projects, allocate resources, and manage budgets to meet business goals.
- Define clear project deliverables addressing safety, quality, capacity, and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships that support LDI's long-term objectives.
- Promote effective communication across departments regarding project needs and progress.
- Collaborate with company leadership to inform and execute business strategies.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated passion for innovation.Proven ability to manage complex projects, apply root cause problem-solving, and engage in hands-on problem-solving with manufacturing and fabrication teams.Proficiency with CAD software and project management practices.Experience with manufacturing machinery and automation.Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.What We Offer
