The City of St. Charles Human Resources Department is recruiting for seasonal Bus Drivers for the St. Charles City Transit within the Public Works Street Division. This position is part-time and no benefits are included with this part-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Follow specified routes and transports bus passengers under limited supervision.
• Greet passengers; assists passenger with special needs board and de-board.
• Monitor and assist bus entry of wheelchair-bound passengers.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and reports deficiencies to the Supervisor.
• Participate in safety meetings and in-service training for assisting passengers on an as needed basis.
• Provides directions and information about bus schedules, facilities and operations.
• Respond to public inquiries or complaints.
• Conduct periodic passenger surveys.
