Proven ability to resolve complex design challenges and manage projects within scope and budget. Familiarity with ISO9001 and 13485 quality standards. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to conceptualize, design, and deliver advanced automated equipment that meets both customer and internal specifications. As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll take the lead on projects of any size—including large-scale, multi-module systems exceeding $1.5M—while mentoring junior engineers and driving solutions that set the standard for functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of automated systems, including cam, servo, and air-operated stations.
- Execute complex cam drive designs and modify existing systems to improve performance.
- Research and specify materials, sensors, and purchased components to meet functional and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams and produce detailed engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, release packages).
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews and collaborate with suppliers to develop optimal solutions.
- Provide mentorship to Level I and II engineers, ensuring successful project execution on schedule and within budget.
- Support quality initiatives by adhering to ISO9001 and 13485 standards.
