About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to conceptualize, design, and deliver advanced automated equipment that meets both customer and internal specifications. As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll take the lead on projects of any size—including large-scale, multi-module systems exceeding $1.5M—while mentoring junior engineers and driving solutions that set the standard for functionality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of automated systems, including cam, servo, and air-operated stations.
- Execute complex cam drive designs and modify existing systems to improve performance.
- Research and specify materials, sensors, and purchased components to meet functional and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams and produce detailed engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, release packages).
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews and collaborate with suppliers to develop optimal solutions.
- Provide mentorship to Level I and II engineers, ensuring successful project execution on schedule and within budget.
- Support quality initiatives by adhering to ISO9001 and 13485 standards.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).8+ years of automation engineering experience, ideally designing complex automated systems.Proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks (or similar CAD platforms).Expertise in designing cam, servo, and air-operated stations.Proven ability to resolve complex design challenges and manage projects within scope and budget.Familiarity with ISO9001 and 13485 quality standards.Nice-to-Haves :
