Title : Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant (Grants Management)
Location : Remote (PST & possible travel)
Client Industry : Higher Education
Compensation : $80- $95 / hr. (12 month contract)
We have partnered with our client on their search for an Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant focused on Grants Management to guide a newimplementation. The role partners with Finance, Grants, Research Administration, and IT to translate requirements into fit-for-purpose configurations across Grants Management and Project Portfolio Management (PPM). Core work includes leading workshops, designing and configuring solutions, supporting integrations and testing, and producing clear documentation and training. Success is measured by on-time go-live, accurate award and project accounting, reduced manual effort, and strong end-user adoption.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops with research and grants stakeholders
- Translate business needs into Oracle Cloud configurations for Grants Management and Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Configure Project Contracts, Project Billing, and Grants Accounting to support sponsored projects
- Collaborate with Finance, Grants, and Research Administration teams to align processes with system capabilities
- Support integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, and General Ledger (GL)
- Develop and maintain functional design documents, test scripts, and end-user training materials
- Coordinate cutover activities, support go-live, and provide post-production stabilization
- Partner with testing teams to execute unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve defects
Skills Required
5+ years implementing Oracle Cloud ERP and PPM with a focus on Grants ManagementProficiency configuring Project Contracts, Project Billing, and Grants AccountingExperience aligning research administration and sponsored project processes with Oracle CloudTrack record completing at least one full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementationAbility to lead cross-functional workshops and manage stakeholder expectationsExperience supporting integrations with AR, Billing, and GL in an Oracle Cloud environmentSkill in writing functional requirements, test scripts, and training contentFamiliarity with testing cycles and defect management across unit, system, and UATStrong analytical and problem-solving skills for award, project, and contract setupExcellent written and verbal communication with finance and research audiencesEducation & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.5+ years supporting Oracle Cloud ERP / PPM implementationsExperience with research administration, sponsored projects, or higher education / healthcare grants processesOracle Cloud Grants or PPM certification preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
