Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit at a tertiary care hospital Unit has 26 beds with a patient population including CHF, acute MI, post device care (pacemakers), and arrhythmias Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 Uses Epic as the electronic medical record system Day shifts of 3x12 hours from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Floating to other units is required Responsibilities include care for complex cardiac and general medical patients Emergency response duties include use of Rapid Response and Code teams Staff must follow isolation precaution protocols Scrub attire must be navy and white Pre-assignment training modules required, with some compensated time Return staff must have at least a one-year gap since last assignment at the facility Requirements Active NY RN license in hand Current BLS certification Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a relevant setting Strong experience in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response Proficient with Epic charting system Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and non-invasive respiratory management Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616681.
