Position Summary :
The LPN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily nursing care activities within the facility, ensuring that residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care. This role includes supervising LPNs, CNAs, and Med Techs, coordinating care with other departments, and acting as a leader and clinical resource on assigned shifts.

Supervisory Duties :
- Supervise and coordinate the work of LPNs, CNAs, and other direct care staff.
- Ensure staff provide care in accordance with resident care plans, physician orders, and facility policies.
- Serve as the nurse-in-charge on assigned shifts, overseeing care delivery and responding to issues.
- Participate in staff evaluations, mentoring, and corrective actions in collaboration with the DON.
- Ensure proper documentation, including completion of shift reports, incident reports, and progress notes.
- Delegate tasks appropriately while ensuring accountability and follow-through.
- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage.
Clinical Duties :
Provide hands-on nursing care, including medication administration , wound care, treatments, and monitoring.Perform assessments and report changes in residents' conditions to the RN or physician.Participate in care planning, case reviews, and family communications.Respond promptly to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.Ensure compliance with infection control , safety standards , and state / federal regulations .Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including dietary, therapy, social work, and activities.Qualifications :
Current LPN license in state of employment, in good standingMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience , preferably in long-term care or skilled nursingSupervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferredCPR / BLS certification (required)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize, multi-task, and manage staff effectively under pressureKnowledge of long-term care regulations and best practicesFamiliarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systemsPhysical Requirements :
Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and kneelingAbility to respond quickly in emergency situations
