Summary

The role supports the Director of Construction with the overall management of construction projects, including the scope, schedule, and budget. Oversees tasks such as schedule and budget management, design management, GC and FF&E procurement, and project oversight and management from initial design through project completion. Ensures contractor and vendor adherence to contract documents. Coordinates design and construction activities with A&E, GC, LL, and FF&E vendors.

Requirements

  • Analyze cost proposals from architects, engineers, GC's, and FF&E vendors for accuracy and scope compliance, prepares bid analysis, and provides recommendations on vendor selection for approval.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Develop and manage project schedules.
  • Leads project team, providing guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Experience in supporting the management of the design and construction process.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally with project stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable communication.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office. Knowledge of MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices is a must.
  • Experience in veterinary or healthcare project management is a plus, but not required.
  • Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to create, update, and maintain project budgets and schedules through the life of the project; manage and track budgets to include invoices paid against the contract amount, funding disbursements, and develop projected cash flow schedules.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate building due diligence evaluations.
  • Ability to lead weekly OAC meetings and produce meeting minutes.
  • Ability to speak the language of Construction Project Management (GC, A&E, MEP, RFQ, RFP, RFI, LOI, COI, LEED, VE, TI).
  • Ability to produce project reports, evaluation comparisons, and summaries.
  • Ability to coordinate with landlords, architects, engineers, GCs, and FF&E vendors (i.e., data cabling, signage, security, movers, furniture, etc.).
  • Ability to write RFPs for architectural and design services, construction, data cabling, furniture, security, signage, move services, etc.
