Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Telemetry position requiring EPIC experience and a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5
  • Care includes dysrhythmia interpretation and management, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and isolation precaution
  • Uses EPIC for computerized documentation
  • Floats to different units as needed
  • Holidays and weekends are covered by rotation
  • Responsibilities include rapid response team activation and use of PPE for isolation precaution
  • Annual and orientation modules are required and completed via DevelopYou
  • Return staff must wait 2 years before being eligible to travel
  • First time travelers are accepted for this position

    • Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
  • Two professional references required for consideration
