In this role, you will lead Western Union's global effort to ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). You will manage and ensure the organization's PCI DSS compliance, plan and execute internal and external PCI assessments, guide PCI-related projects, identify gaps and risks, and drive remediation for non-compliance. You will also lead efforts to comply with other key regulations such as NYDFS, SOC, SWIFT, and others. This role supports the company's commitment to regulatory excellence and operational integrity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of PCI assessments and other audit activities for Western Union.
  • Coordinate with external assessors, process / control owners, and stakeholders to streamline the assessment process.
  • Ensure ongoing PCI DSS compliance by coordinating efforts to meet required controls, policies, and standards.
  • Lead compliance efforts for regulatory responses like NYDFS, SOC, and others.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain security controls.
  • Drive remediation of control deficiencies and non-compliance issues.
  • Oversee PCI vulnerability scans and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
  • Monitor and report compliance status to senior management.
  • Stay up to date with changes in PCI DSS requirements and industry best practices.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Security GRC, IT Security, or a related field with a preferred focus on PCI compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of PCI DSS and associated frameworks (e.g., NIST). Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think logically and analytically.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and business functions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited guidance.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PCI-related certifications such as QSA, PA-QSA, PCIP, or ISA.
  • Other recognized cybersecurity certifications including CISSP, CISA, or CISM.

    Salary

    The base salary range is $120,000 - $145,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes base salary plus short-term incentives; actual salaries vary based on qualifications, skills, and competencies.
