We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team in the electric / energy industry! This exciting opportunity will allow you to showcase your exceptional skills in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis, within a fast-paced, innovative, and technologically advanced environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electricity and fiber-optic internet, as these are integral to our operations.

The ideal Financial Reporting Manager has experience overseeing cost accounting, financial reporting and analysis. The Financial Reporting Manager will also have expertise in creating metrics and dashboards, as well as strong analysis experience. The Financial Reporting Manager is also required to have a CPA, be a CPA candidate and / or planning to sit for their CPA exam. This is an amazing opportunity for growth within the organization, as well as the company has doubled in size over the last 3 years!

This role is either on-site in Linden or someone can work on-site in Lafayette and able to travel to Linden one day a week. If someone is traveling from Indianapolis or has a further commute, they will offer more flexible scheduling and / or a car allowance!

Job Details

Responsibilities :

As a Financial Reporting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include :

1. Overseeing the development and analysis of financial information to ensure it meets the company's needs for management reporting.

2. Managing the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

3. Collaborating with the senior management team to understand company operations and strategy, and align financial reporting accordingly.

4. Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

5. Ensuring the company's financial reports comply with regulations and laws.

6. Directing and coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions.

7. Analyzing and reviewing trends in revenues, expenses, capital expenditures and other related areas.

8. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and processes for gathering, analyzing, verifying, and reporting certain types of financial information.

9. Optimizing the use of dashboards for financial reporting and analysis.

10. Ensuring the company's use of electricity and fiber-optic internet is cost-effective and efficient.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate for the role of Financial Reporting Manager must possess the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.

2. CPA certification required

3. A minimum of five years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis.

4. Strong knowledge and understanding of electricity and fiber-optic internet would be ideal; consulting experience is a plus

5. Proficiency in using financial software and creating dashboards for financial reporting and analysis.

6. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

7. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

11. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
