Manager Sterile Processing

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications :

• Within 1 year of hire date : Central Sterile Processing degree / Diploma
• Within 3 years of hire date : Bachelor's Degree - Business or Science Degree : Science, Microbiology, Business, or Nursing
• Upon Hire : National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• Upon Hire : National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• 2 or more years of work experience in an operating room or reprocessing setting necessary to acquire a working knowledge of medical terminology, surgical supplies and instrumentation.
• 3 or more years of varied and complex surgical experience
• 3 or more years of progressive management accountability experience
• 3 or more years of varied and complex surgical instrument experience
